Ep 3: Balancing Faith and a Demanding Job: Tips from a Tourism Director

In this podcast, Paige C. Clark speaks with Rose Jordan, the Director of Tourism in Mineral Wells, Texas. Rose has been in her role for four and a half years and was on the Tourism Council for three years before that. Rose's job is to help people fall in love with Mineral Wells. However, Rose spends a lot of time after hours building relationships with tourism partners and attending events. She is also the film liaison for the community. Rose's week is typically spent reading scripture, journaling, and spending time with God. She has been researching Christian meditation, is reading through scripture, and spends her lunch breaks painting or writing to connect with God. Rose and her husband sold their house and bought an RV so they could be park hosts at one of their state parks.

She and her husband live as park hosts in Lake Mineral Wells State Park. She’s the Christian communicator and creative behind Beneath The Fig Tree.  And, she’s also involved in various groups and organizations and serves as a worship leader at her church. 

All that to say, Rose completely understands the desire to commune with God daily in the midst of the sometimes overwhelming demands of life.

Her favorite God-assignment is coming alongside women and helping them cultivate a devotional life they absolutely love so they finally experience the tangible, meaningful relationship with God they were created for!
